2-Part Birth Class

No matter your birth goals, the Baby Mama birth class prepares your mind and body to manage the waves of labor. This class is designed to educate you and your partner about the stages of labor, creating an optimal birth environment, and comfort measures such as positioning and breathing techniques to ease discomfort during labor and birth.

We review various birthing scenarios when confronted with unexpected situations in labor, with the goal to avoid the cascade of interventions often seen in a hospital environment. We provide the must-haves when away from home in order to foster a positive birth experience. Baby Mama will review tips for an induction or planned cesarean. By the end of this class, Baby Mama wants you to overcome any fears or anxieties, feel empowered to make informed decisions, and confident in your abilities to self-advocate. Baby Mama also discusses partner advocacy at length.

Whether you plan to have an unmedicated birth, cesarean section, or want comfort measures to bridge you to an epidural, this is a must take class! As you prepare for labor, remember what hip-hop duo Salt-N-Pepa said in 1987, "push it, push it real good.” Those lyrics will come in handy.
